Arash Bereliani, MD

Arash Bereliani, M.D. , F.A.C.C. is a specialist in cardiovascular diseases, internal medicine and functional medicine. Dr. Bereliani received his medical degree from Finch University of Health Sciences in Chicago, where he was ranked number one in his graduating class (of 192 students) and received numerous awards and honors. These included being inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) medical honor society, a fraternity to which only the top 10% of medical students in the country are invited. Dr. Bereliani then went on to do his internal medicine residency at UCLA Medical Center, where his research centered on nuclear cardiology and cardiac imaging.
Dr. Bereliani was nominated for and won the highly prestigious “Top Physician” award – given by the Consumers’ Research Council of America – for three consecutive years. He was the youngest physician to have won the award in cardiology.Dr. Bereliani started his cardiology practice at UCLA and after only a year of practice, was nominated for and won the highly prestigious “Top Physician” award – given by the Consumers’ Research Council of America – for three consecutive years. He was the youngest physician to have won the award in cardiology. He is a clinical instructor at UCLA’s David Geffen School of Medicine. He also is a cardiologist on staff in the Division of Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a world-renowned Center of Excellence and home to such luminaries in cardiology as Dr. Jeremy Swan and Dr. P.K. Shah. At Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Bereliani’s clinical and academic duties include teaching medical students, residents and fellows along with active research in cardiac imaging and nuclear cardiology. In early 2006, Dr. Bereliani became the director of the Beverly Hills Institute for Preventive Medicine and Cardiology. The Institute provides comprehensive, state-of- the-art internal medicine and cardiac care. In the same year, Dr. Bereliani became acquainted with some of the major thought leaders in the fields of integrative and functional medicine. Inquisitive by nature, he was motivated to learn more about these fields, which emphasized an all-encompassing, prevention-focused approach. Dr. Bereliani started to train closely with some of the biggest experts in this field. This experience led to his melding his core cardiology knowledge with his more recent studies in complementary and functional medicine to create an ideal hybrid – this is Dr. Bereliani’s current preventive cardiology practice.
Dr. Bereliani is active in teaching and research in both preventive cardiology and internal medicine, with particular interest in predictive biomarkers of cardiovascular disease. He is a frequent guest speaker at professional conferences of many scientific organizations, is constantly in demand for television and other media appearances, and gives lectures around the country. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an active member of the American Heart Association, the American Medical Association, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC), the Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM),
the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM).
Perhaps the most important factor in the success of Dr. Bereliani’s practice is the tremendous amount of passion he has for medicine – a passion that directly translates to how he cares for his patients. He treats every patient individually and takes the time to get to know and understand them as a whole person -not just a patient. His exceptional standard of care – lacking in most modern-day “corporate” and “managed-care” medical practices – has garnered him a loyal and devoted following among his patients as well as his peers.
