Food & Nutrition

Knowing what to eat for safe weight loss can be confusing.

We help cut through the noise.

Are you thinking about starting a weight loss program? Are you trying to keep weight from returning? There are science-based nutrition strategies for each type of weight management goal.

Meal Replacement Nutrition

Meal Replacement Nutrition is different from “diet products.” When used strategically and correctly in the early stages of care, they can be a powerful tool in safe, effective weight loss helping you maintain muscle while losing fat.

Gradation Nutrition

This is where a major leap forward happens in your weight loss transformation.

If you start your program with Quick Start, a full meal replacement plan, you will eventually need to introduce everyday foods and beverages back into your nutritional strategy. But how you do that makes all the difference.

In this phase, you will need to rely on three key factors:

1) a daily stock of meal replacement items for breakfast, lunch, and snack (calorie levels determined by your personalized plan)

2) a healthy 550-calorie dinner

3) continued engagement in your personalized lifestyle and behavioral counseling plan with your provider.

The last thing you would want to do is return to unhealthy food choices after weight loss. It is critical to continue with your behavioral counseling in this transitional phase to understand the long-term habits for a healthy weight and lifestyle. Your provider will help you make correct choices and guide you to better dietary habits. You will learn how to choose smart carbohydrates and fats as well as main the proper protein intake.

Maintenance Nutrition

If you’re following a Maintenance Nutrition plan, then congratulations! You’ve adopted the mindset and behaviors for a lifelong healthy weight.

Your breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks are all comprised of your favorite healthy foods, which consist of all the good choices to support a healthy, active lifestyle.

There is one very important thing you must remember during the Maintenance phase: If you slip up, don’t beat yourself up! Your provider will help you get back on track without any judgment.

If you’re following a structured schedule of monthly or quarterly visits to your provider as well as an annual healthy weight screening, you have no reason to worry. Just tap back into your support system and tools to get back on track.
