*In a CMWL multicenter randomized trial involving 550 patients who followed a CMWL Low-Calorie Diet (LCD) or Modified LCD Program, both with and without appetite suppressants, the average weight loss was 2 pounds per week over a 12-week period. The research was wholly funded by an independent third party with the exception of travel expenses. According to a study published in The American Journal of Medicine, participants completing a 12-week medical weight loss program lost 11.1% of their body weight, on average. Results may vary.




My health was going in the wrong direction. I was pre-diabetic. I had difficulty walking. I had pain in my knees and ankles. When my primary care physician, Dr. Fignar, told me about how the CMWL program could improve my health, I decided to give it shot. 

Before turning to CMWL, I tried every kind of fad diet, including the Cabbage Soup Diet, Weight Watchers, etc., but none of them worked. Each time I failed I felt frustrated and discouraged. However, I trusted the guidance of my primary care physician, and I couldn’t think of anyone more qualified to help me reach my weight loss goals. 

Working my way through the CMWL program taught me a lot about myself and my eating habits. I was surprised that I did not feel hungry or agitated throughout the entirety of the weight loss plan. Instead, each week I felt better about myself, not only physically, but emotionally as well. 

Of course, I had my hurdles to overcome. Learning how to eat out—what to order, peer pressure, the bread basket—was particularly challenging. It was hard watching other people order meals that I was trying to stay away from. Eventually, through my counseling sessions with Dr. Fignar, I learned how to prepare for these challenges ahead of time and found I could still enjoy a meal out while making smart choices.  

My weekly goal served as my motivator, and now I can handle myself in all different types of situations. The best part about this journey is how great I feel. I have so much more energy, less pain, and no longer need some of my medications. Fitting into smaller clothes is also a huge plus!

I know if it stick to my new eating habits and visit Dr. Fignar on a regular basis, I will keep this weight off for good!
